Operation FAQ
Q. Trouble connecting the electrical stimulation unit and the remote control? (Applicable to models RS-18/48)
1. The wireless connection range is within 10 meters. If it exceeds this range, there may be intermittent connection issues. The stimulation unit continues to work offline until the session ends, and upon reconnection, the remote control will regain control.
2. If the stimulation unit consistently fails to connect within range, it may be due to low battery entering power-saving mode. Please charge it. It could also be a pairing issue, which can be resolved by following the pairing instructions in the manual.
Q. Can I adjust the intensity of two electrical stimulators independently or use just one? (Applicable to models RS-18)
Yes. After pausing the treatment session, you can use the MENU button to switch and control the intensity of each stimulator individually (default is synchronized).
When using only one stimulator, the top left corner of the remote control will display only one connected and paired stimulator number along with its battery level.
Q. Why do the dual units sometimes appear slightly out of sync when used simultaneously on both sides? (Applicable to models RS-18)
The electrical current of the stimulation may vary slightly due to differences in muscle mass and nerve conduction speed. For example, muscles on the dominant side are typically denser, and the recruitment of motor neurons may be easier, leading to occasional sensations of asynchrony in intensity or frequency. If there's a disparity in intensity, you can fine-tune it using the plus or minus buttons on the remote control or stimulator. Slight differences in frequency are normal. Apart from physiological variances, there may be minor discrepancies in components of different independent units, which may accumulate over time. However, this doesn't affect the efficacy of the stimulation frequency, so you can continue to use it with confidence.
Q. What if I feel weak sensations or can't feel the stimulation at all? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
(1) If the electrodes are too dry and lose their adhesive properties, resulting in insufficient contact with the skin: Please replace with new electrodes.
(2) If the intensity is too low: Adjust to a comfortable or acceptable level.
(3) Poor contact: Ensure the electrodes are fully connected to the device and have good contact with the skin.
Q. Feeling uncomfortable or experiencing noticeable pain during electrical stimulation? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
(1) If the intensity is too high: Please reduce the intensity.
(2) If the electrodes are aging or worn out: Please replace with new electrodes.
(3) If an inappropriate mode is selected: Please refer to the mode description. If discomfort persists, please consult a medical professional for assistance.
Q. Feeling different sensations during electrical stimulation compared to usual? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
Ensure all settings are correct, verify that the selected mode and electrode placement are accurate, or adjust electrode positions slightly if needed.
Q. Stimulator showing low battery? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
When the stimulator's indicator light flashes red, it indicates low battery. Please pause the treatment and recharge the device.
Q. Intermittent output? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
This is normal. Some therapy modes involve intermittent variations in frequency.
Q. Feeling weak electrical stimulation at the start of treatment? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
Gradually increase the intensity of electrical stimulation.
Q. Ineffective electrical stimulation experience? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
Reposition the electrodes and readjust the stimulation intensity to a comfortable level.
Q. The stimulator is powered on, and the treatment program is running, but there's no sensation from the electrodes? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
Check if the electrodes are properly connected; inspect them for wear or poor contact; try using new electrodes.
Q. Can the electrical stimulator be applied to every part of the body? (Applicable to models RS-18/38/48)
The electrical stimulators provided by levina can be applied to other areas of the body, but DO NOT use on the throat, both ends across the chest (heart), or the head. For optimal pain relief, we recommend following these guidelines for electrode placement:
(1) Avoid placing electrodes directly on bony joints such as knees, elbows, or ankles, as their movement may affect electrode adhesion.
(2) Gradually increase intensity, as each body part may tolerate different levels of intensity.
(3) Placement and intensity tolerance of electrodes vary from person to person. We recommend operating according to our guidelines and adjusting based on personal sensations.
